Madai Thiranthu -live show in chennai

Although a live show, it's been lip synced which is very evident given that it's perfect :)

Note when the video reaches 5:00 minutes. There will be continuous slow rapping happening while the swarams coming in the background are continuous. There are times when the swarams are happening and no one excepting the main rapper is singing!? How is that even possible??? Logically, if one is rapping all the time, one out of the rest has to be doing the swarams, right?

Also-- the effect of the voice quality in this live show is exactly the same as the previous original video (posted by Brainwaves) which is very difficult to reproduce live on stage.

JFYI, there's a lot of dispute about whether big shows are really being performed live or is it a track and major lip synching going on. ARR's live shows being the top on the criticism list

I give up now! :))

Regarding lip synch, Unni krishnan mentioned that it is very difficult to bring the team so they would just do few tracks. But he did sing or did he??

@Mindframes: Ennadhaan irundhaalum ippadi naan CP vitturukka koodaadhu la? Cha cha..

@ Brainwaves: mannikkavum, edho aarvak kolarula unnoda moment-a suttuttaen ;-) Yes, Unnikrishnan did mention it. Actually, most numbers were live but the background music for some of the numbers ( like hai rabba from Jeans, maarghazhi thingal from Sangamam/ other ARR ones in that show) were original tracks being replayed as -1 ( -1 essentially means it contains only the background music w/t the voices. So any of us can fill it in, JFYI)

@ Meera: I would say that it is lip synch but quite hard to say for sure...for instance at 5:00, the swaram could have been looped live...it is a continous loop and he is singing on top of that...so hard to conclude on that basis...but i agree the quality of the track suggests lip sycnh...

@ Madmax-- continuous live looping is very difficult. For instance the swarams are not continuous in the sense that it comes every 3rd beat or 4th. So unless they have already sequenced it, it will be tough to do it on stage.

my 2c :)

@ Meera: that is not exactly true..for instance Boss RC 50 Loop Station is amazing for live looping (mainly guitar but voice alternatives are also available)...all u need to do is sing the line once and it can be looped (stop/release option also avbl) very nicely...

Ooh! okay.. got it. I was reading up about it and got the impression that it's doable but very difficult resulting in ppl sequencing it most of the time.

Edho ariyaadha pedhai thappaa sollittaen....Mannichudu thalai :)
